Cleaning Air Conditioning System at Home

With few basic steps ,users can clean the air conditioning systems at home .First, the owners should cut off the power supply to the air condition unit. The split air conditioner unit has two parts, the indoor part and outdoor part. The condenser coil cleaning is the main outside job. The fan inside the condenser coils sucks the air along with all the dirt and dust particles. This collection of the dust and dirt reduces the cooling efficiency of the system and puts burden on it to perform.  The extra load increases the electricity consumption of the system.  The fan motor often has some lubricating points; the owner should drop some special oil in these points. Some fan motors do not come with lubricating points. The owners can check the company manual for proper guidance and cleaning process.

The compressor and its motor are inside the coil and they are sealed. But if the compressor is old one with belt drive by motor, then one has to lubricate the motor with oil dropping in lubrication points. Here, at this point, the owner should also note any drop of black oil from compressor. This dripping of the oil means that there is leakage. The leakage also points that compressor or tubes might be leaking coolant or refrigerant also. If there is any leakage, the owner must not try to stop by leakage by some tapes or use of adhesive material. The professional serviceman should be called. These people come with proper tools and are trained to deal with all technical aspect of air condition system.

Another tip which shows the working of the air conditioning system, the owner should check for noise of the running system to know any damage or wear. After some minutes, the owner can pull back the insulation on the insulated pipe or pipes. The pipe should be cool.  If the temperature of the pipes is not what it should be, then one has to call the professional serviceman to check the refrigerant level.

If filter is dirty, AC Installation Services in Dwarka it should be replaced to prevent the dust from collection on the evaporator coil fin. The power should be turn off to the furnace before the filter is pulled off, this step ensures that dust is not blown in the throughout the system. If it is possible to access the evaporator coil or main duct near the furnace, then one can clean the bottom side of its fin with soft brush. One also has to check the drain tube to make sure that it is free from any dents or clogged by any algac or sludge.
